Mr. Alberto Martinez

On the 9 ^th of September 2019, my father, Alberto Martinez Perez, passed away. He was 90 years old. He was an amazing person with a kind heart, a brilliant creative mind, and a loving soul. Born in Cuba in 1929, he was the son of two Spaniards from whom he learned to be independent and to work hard. Eventually, my father owned a  prosperous juice business in Cuba, married his first love, my mom, and settled down to raise his two daughters. Communism confiscated his business and life changed. After many struggles and permission was granted, my father bravely emigrated his family, first to Spain, and then to the United States. After many years of hard work, my father established a prosperous roasted and ground sesame seed business which he managed and labored in until he retired. His brilliance and knowledge touched many lives. He was highly admired and loved and will be greatly missed by his loving grandsons, my husband, and me. He is now in heaven with his love, my mom, and with my sister. I will always adore you my Papi.
