Aldo Omar Escalona, 31, of Apopka, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014. He was born January 01, 1983 in Mexico City. Mr. Escalona is survived by his girlfriend, Marisol Reyes; mother, Maria Luisa Ramirez; father, Alberto Escalona; son, Aidan Escalona; siblings, Luis Escalona, Adriana Escalona, Jorge Escalona and Marisol Escalona; lots of extended family.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Dear Family of Aldo,I'm so sorry to learn that Aldo didn't win the struggle with his declining health. I saw him several times as a Pastoral Care Minister from our Parish St. Mary Magdalen in Altamonte Springs and he became very dear to me. The last time he was hospitalized he showed me the pictures of his newborn son on his I Pad, he was so proud of. This young boy is now the continuation of Aldo's blood and cells.
