Benjamin Vargas, 83, of Apopka, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was born April 03, 1931 in New York, New York and moved to Central Florida in 1986. He was the Supervisor of Jury Qualifications for Lake County; member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church; toastmasters; volunteer 911 Operator, Spanish Tutor at GROWS and a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Mr. Vargas is survived by his children, Sandy Vargas of Winter Garden, Alice Vargas of Apopka and Joanna Scott of Apopka; brother, William Vargas of Hallandale, FL; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
