Charles Robert McDonie, 75, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 13, 2021. Mr. McDonie was born on February 13, 1946 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Arthur and Edith Bliss. He is preceded in death by his sibling Jim McDonie and grandson Charles E. Walsingham. He is survived by his children Bridget McDonie, Michelle Walsingham, Brent McDonie, Chris McDonie, and Danielle Vieyra; his siblings Don McDonie and Mary Margaret Smith; grandchildren Gabrielle, Madison, Tyler, Ian and Oliva. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
