Charles Wesley (Chuck) Flint, II, 55, of Eustis, passed away surrounded by family and friends, on Wednesday, February 05, 2014. He was born in Syracuse, NY on January 07, 1959, to Judith Marie and George Schuyler Flint (his father is deceased). Charles was the namesake and great grandson of Bishop Charles Wesley Flint, who was a Chancellor of Syracuse University in NY, Charter member of the Theodore Roosevelt Society, and, a former Methodist Bishop of the Washington, D.C. area. He is survived by his fiancée, Diana M. Self; his mother, Judith M. Weekley; his Step-father, Robert L. Weekley; his sisters, Sandra Jean Crain and Lynda Marie Hill. He is also survived by his brother, John Kenneth Weekley, step-brothers, George H. Weekley and Ronald Weekley, and, his brother by marriage, Stephen E. Crain. Charles had two children, Jason Michael Matthews, Gunnery Sgt., USMC, and Haley S. Flint. He also had several loving nieces and nephews, who are Stephen E. Crain, III, James Lee Stanley, Danielle Marie Crain, Taci Kathleen Marie Hill, and, Nicole Marie Hill. He is also survived by his Aunt Lois Tarbell of Eastern PA. In his early years, he lived in Rockville, MD, and subsequently moved to Virginia Beach, VA, Atlanta, GA, Hollywood, FL and, finally, the Dallas/Fort Worth area where his step-father accepted a Regional V-P position. Charles was employed as a Stationary Engineer by the 5-Star rated Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas. Charles moved to the Apopka area in 1999 due to health reasons and never left the area after he recovered from his health problems. Here he worked as an independent contractor in the Home Improvement and Industrial Maintenance Industry. A Memorial Service shall be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Apopka, FL 32703 at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 01, 2014. Pastor Michael Ulasewich shall officiate. Reception to follow in the Ranson Hall at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Charles’ mother, Judith M. Weekley c/o Loomis Funeral Home 420 West Main Street Apopka, FL 32712.
