Christian Michael Liddy, Sr., 40 of Tavares, Florida, passed away June 1, 2016. Mr. Liddy was born August 19, 1975 in Torrence, California. He is survived by his wife Jennifer Liddy of Tavares, FL; children Christian Michael Liddy, Jr. of Orlando, FL, Alyssa Marie Liddy and Alexander Miguel Liddy of Tavares, FL; brother Dennis Liddy of Winter Springs, FL.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Many prayers and my deepest condolences to the Liddy family. Chris had a joyous, adventurous spirit and an infectious smile…a smile that, in hindsight, I realize he wore every time I saw him over the course of 21 years of friendship. I remember an online dialogue in which he didn’t agree with somebody and simply stated,”It’s simple. Work hard, build a relationship with God, love your wife and kids and your life will be good.” It was profound, and it was who he was. I never forgot it, and I’ll never forget him. Rest easy, Chris.
