CLINTON ORAL BOND, JR. fell asleep in Jesus on the evening of Tuesday, June 26 following a brave six-year battle with cancer. He would have been 73 years old on July 2nd. He leaves behind his bride of 49 years, Judy (Bohannon) Bond, his sister, Diane Combs, his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Conna Bond, four grandchildren, Emily Beth, Chelsea, Taylor, and Adriana, as well as many close friends and extended family.
Born and raised in Temple, Texas, he was the son of Clinton (Cob) and Hazel (Dohman) Bond.
Clinton met his sweetheart, Judy, while studying at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. Clinton earned his degree in Physical Therapy from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. After graduating, Clinton and Judy were married in December of 1963 at the Tulsa First Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their son, Mark, was born in 1966 in Kansas City Kansas, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center where Clinton served as Chief Physical Therapist. In 1974, Clinton moved his family to Florida, first establishing the Physical Therapy Department at Hialeah Hospital in Miami, then as Director of Physical Medicine at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando and then as Administrative Director of Physical Medicine and Program Evaluator at Florida Hospital, Orlando until 1993. He continued working as a physical therapist for Adventist Health System's long-term care facilities until his retirement in 2007. Clinton served as an elder of the Spring Meadows (formerly Winter Springs) Seventh-day Adventist Church for more than 30 years. He had a strong affection for his church family. His devotion to God and to his wife was evident to all who knew him.
A Memorial Service is planned for 3 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, August 3 at the Spring Meadows Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sanford, Fla.

Clinton, or "Nubbin" as we fondly knew him at Reagan Jr. High and Temple High School was that always smiling blond-headed kid that was a friend to everyone. I am so saddened to hear of his passing, and extend my sincere condolences to his wife and family.Harry J. Shafer
