On Sunday morning, June 24, 2018, David Alan Ensley, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 years.  David is survived by his Mother June Spivey, sister Deborah Lee, brother-in-law Jim Lee, niece Sharon Lee, niece Laura Powers, nephew-in-law Blake Powers, grand niece, Violet Powers and grand nephew Vance Powers.  David will also be remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends. David is preceded in death by his Father, Garland Ensley and sister Sharon Ensley.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina David graduated from Erwin High School Asheville, NC, Miami Dade Community College, and University of Florida.  From there he lived in Orlando, Florida and retired after 30 years with the City of Orlando’s Traffic and Engineering Department as a computer programmer.  He designed and programmed the first synchronized traffic light system for the city’s street system.  He also developed the City of West Palm Beach’s traffic light system.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday July 6, 2018 at Loomis Funeral Home located at 420 West Main Street, Apopka, Florida 32703.

David’s final resting place will be at Green Hills Cemetery, Asheville, North Carolina.
