David Donovan Norgren died February 18, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born August 24, 1936 to Grace Donovan Norgren and Harry Norgren of Ossining, NY. He graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School and was employed by AT&T where he began his career as a draftsman and retired as an employee counselor some 30+ years later. On February 2, 1957, Dave married Georgiana Gendron at the Church of the Transfiguration in Tarrytown, NY. They were blessed with four children.
Before his death, Dave told his family that he had lived a great life, crediting that to God, his supportive and loving wife and children, and his Alcoholics Anonymous family with whom he had recently celebrated 43 years of sobriety. Dave shared that, in recovery, he learned about himself through thousands of others; he was grateful to belong to his AA family, and honored to have had the opportunity to help others by sharing his own story through AA and as an Employee Counselor with AT&T.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Henry Richard (Dick) and Timothy.
Dave is survived by Georgiana, his beloved wife of 61 years; his four children: Michele Saari (Leo) of Hopewell Junction, NY, Lynn Norgren of Stafford Springs, CT, Therese Thiedeman (Edwin) of Waldorf, MD, and David John Norgren (Gina) of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Marguerite Norgren of Peekskill, NY, and sister-in-law, Therese Gendron of Irvington, NY.
Visitation will be held at Loomis Funeral Home, 430 West Main Street, Apopka, FL on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Eternal rest, grant unto David, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
