This was such a shock! I did not realize David was so sick and apologize for not knowing. He was definitely one of the finest men I have ever known. He and Annie were a wonderful example to all for how a “married couple” should behave. Our love and Prayers go out to Annie and all of his family during this terrible sadness. I am flying out on the 2nd and we will not be able to attend this funeral, or we would be there for sure. May God be with you and Bless you all…

You don’t even have to know David to see that he IS an amazing man. He IS loved and respected by all who met him.
All you have to do is skim through Annie and Shanen’s FB to see that. Annie, yours and
David’s love story IS like no other. It’s the kind that people pray for, the kind in fairy tails…the happily ever after.
Loosing a dad, the first man who loved you, is an agonizing grief. Loosing your entire world is devastating.
David will be with you each and every one of you every moment of every day. 😇

Brother Heard………thats what I have called you sence I can remember. To me, you, Annie and Shanen have always been family. You just had a spirit about you. A mentor, a male figure to look up too, a friend, family. Your light shined. I can only remember great things about you. Every single time someone was in need, hurting, hungry or there was a Wedding, funeral, church and so much more…. you’d be there. Your support and awesome heart will forever be cherished. Your big smile would light the whole room and will be truly missed.
I’ll never forget when us kids would be running around the church, we’d be watching out for “Brother Heard”!!!! Although you were a BIG person of authority to us, you showed us love in so many ways! I will forever be grateful for you and your teachings, care and love. You were always a big part of my life. You are family and always will be. Rest in peace. I love you Brother Heard
