Donald D. Compton, 92, of Sorrento, Florida passed away on December 09, 2021. Mr. Compton was born on July 02, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents Ezekiel and Lottie Compton as well as brother Stanley Compton. Mr. Compton is survived by loving wife Carol Compton; children Kenneth (Debbie) Compton, Kathy Schneider and Jan (Barry) West; grandchildren Amy (Benji) Stultz, Missy Pierce and Greg (Michelle) Gott as well as great grandchildren Arielle Pierce, Abby Stultz, Julianne Stultz, Andrea Stultz, Gracelyn Pierce and Paul Pierce.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
