Emmett Monroe Hart Jr. passed away November 21, 2017. Born December 24, 1933 to Emmett Monroe Hart and Avis Mae Huggins Hart. Preceded in death by his father and mother Emmett and Avis Hart; sisters Mary and Barbara; brother Thomas and wife Lorna. He leaves behind his daughters, Cynthia and Sandra; his grandchildren Katheryn and Michael and his great-grandson Michael; his sisters Florence and Dean; his brothers Joe, Robert and Mike; nieces, cousins, friends Delbert, Frank, Karen, Danny, Mike, Carol and Phil and many, many more. Emmett Hart was a wonderful person, he was a hard worker with a good sense of humor and a touch of mischief who loved his wife Lorna dearly. In his youth, he joined the National Guard and later, the Army Corps of Engineers. He dug many of the canals protecting Florida from floods. He operated a crane and put piling under the NASA Assembly Building, many of Florida's bridges, hotels and most of the seawall on the coast of Florida. Emmett was protective of everyone he loved and always looked out for other people. He was an excellent, loving father who focused on teaching us responsibility. He stood strong in hardship, survived some serious physical injuries and took a few years off his life, teaching us to drive. He watched all of our games and our recitals. He would give anybody his time, his labor and if needed he would have given the shirt off his back. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and master of most.
