Freddy C. Hernandez passed into eternal life on January 10, 2018 at the age of 69 after a sudden illness. He is survived by his beloved wife Aurora, adored daughter Daniela and her husband Robert Hunt, and much-loved grandchildren Diana and Patrick Hunt. He is also survived by an extended family of siblings, cousins and loved ones in both the United States and Venezuela as well as numerous friends.
Born in 1948 to Rosalia and Julio Hernandez, Freddy lived much of his life in Maracaibo Venezuela where he was an entrepreneur. He and his wife Aurora were childhood sweethearts and were together over fifty years. They married in 1973 and together they bravely immigrated to the United States in 2006. Family was always the center of his life and Freddy worked hard to provide all his loved ones needed. At the time of his passing, Freddy worked at the Caribe Royale Resort in Buena Vista where he was valued as an especially kind and hard-working man. His grandchildren gave him great joy and “Papa” would often be found playing with them, picking them up from school, building things for them or helping them with homework or projects. He leaves a large void in the hearts and lives of his loved ones and will be missed for his kind voice, willingness to help and ready smile by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Freddy’s life at a Mass of Christian Burial to be held Saturday January 20th at 10am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (will be held in secondary, offset Chapel), 834 S. Highway 441, Apopka. Interment will follow at Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery.
