George F. Burke, Jr., 57, of Apopka, Florida, passed away September 9, 2015. Mr. Burke was born November 24, 1957 in Orlando, Florida. He was a General Superintendent in the Construction Industry. Mr. Burke is survived by his loving wife Janet Burke; children Candice (Jason) Scott, Chad (Mary Glenn) Burke and Courtney; siblings Ellen (Lee) Watko, Steve Burke and Patty (Glenn) Barnard; 3 grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
