George “Roland” Eubanks, 74, of Apopka, passed away Wednesday, April 09, 2014. He was born September 06, 1939 in Pansy, Alabama and moved to Central Florida 67 years ago. He was a Supervisor for the Florida Department of Transportation for 30 years. Mr. Eubanks is survived by his loving wife, Joy Eubanks of Apopka; children, Darlene Eubanks, David Eubanks, and Tim Eubanks; sisters, Ann, Kathy and Janet Ustler; 5 grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
