Gordon Emory Boyd was born on April 20th, 1936 in the small town of Sorrento, FL to the
parents of Johnnie & Pearl Boyd. As he grew up in this small community, he quickly became
known as “Cub”. Cub was named by family friend, Johnnie Ferris because he was raised with a
little bear cub the family had taken in, and the name stuck throughout his life.
Cub is married, and survived by his wife Judith Stone Boyd. They married on December 30,
1958 and have been happily married for over 59 years. He is also survived by their two children,
Lisa Boyd Richenberg & her husband James Richenberg and Jeffrey Gordon Boyd and his
partner Tammy NeSmith Evans.
Cub had many adventures throughout his life, he was proudly named “All State Cowboy” in
1959. Through his career as an Owner/Operator, Cub was able to travel and see a vast majority
of the United States. When he wasn’t working Cub could be found in only a few places. The
Woods, The river, or the golf course.
Another place you could count on finding Mr. Emory Boyd was with his grand children
and great grand children. There has never been a Grandpa more proud, or over joyed with
adding another child to his Brood.
Cub is proudly survived by his 5 Grandchildren, Wesley Edge, Crystal Edge, Kyle Richenberg,
Falon Yeager, and Bridgette Boyd. Also his 10 beautiful Great-grandchildren, Amberly, Weston,
Coral, Keely, Peyton, Gracie, Maisy, Kallie, Cody & MyKenzie.
Cub will be also be dearly missed by his beloved pup Taz.
