Harry C. Rose, 85, of Zellwood, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was born January 08, 1929 in Sparta Township, Pennsylvania. He was Building Inspector, member of the Zellwood United Methodist Church Men’s Group. He was a Dairy and Poultry Farmer and enjoyed square dancing. Mr. Rose is survived by his loving wife, Janie Rose of Zellwood; sons, Edwin (Sandy) Rose of Eustis and Larry (Janet) Rose of Sorrento; daughter, Patty (Larry) Hibbard of Louisiana; brother, Ivan Rose; sisters, Eleanor McCray and Marjorie Palmer all of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
