James Lee Cornelius, 85, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 10, 2022. Mr. Cornelius was born on March 17, 1937 in Tipton, Indiana. He is survived by his children Jade Cornelius, Kip Cornelius, Kyl Cornelius, Amber Lazareff and April Calheta; as well as grandchildren Parker Cornelius, Nicolau Calhata, Samantha Calheta and Wesley Lazareff. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
