James Ronald "Ronnie" Walker

Mr. Ronnie Walker, age 57, resident of Orlando, Florida, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 6, 2016.

The family will receive friends at Loomis Funeral Home in Apopka, FL, on Saturday, April 9, from 2:00 until 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow at First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden with Reverend Rusty Belcher officiating.  Loomis Funeral Home and Heritage Funeral Home of Columbia, TN, are assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on February 6, 1959, in Greenville, SC, Ronnie was the son of the late James Edgar Walker and Peggy Britton of Orlando, FL. He was a quiet man who enjoyed the simple things in life: working hard, spending time with family and friends, and of course, Nascar Racing. He loved children and could often be found embracing his inner child by playing basketball, chase, or hide and seek with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Ronnie never met a stranger and he loved most everyone he knew, but he especially loved his family. Although distance separated him from his children, they always knew how much they were loved by him.

In addition to his mother, Ronnie is survived by 3 children: Mandie (Jason) Page of Toccoa, GA; Dedra (Chris) Campbell of Lynnville, TN; Chris Walker of Lake Charles, LA; brothers and sisters: Kenneth Walker of Orlando, FL; Andrea (Brian) Vinkemulder of Oakland, FL; Jennifer Britton of New Jersey; 5 grandchildren: Jordan Page, Austin Page, and Coley Page all of Toccoa, GA; Chloe Campbell of Lynnville, TN; Taylor Walker of Shelbyville, TN; and William Walker of Okinawa, Japan; nieces and nephews: Mackie Walker, Chad Walker, Kayla Walker, Alexandra Jacobs, Kayla Carpenter, Jeffrey Carpenter, Brian Vinkemulder, Jr., Dylan Manley, and Austin Billeci. A host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jeffrey Walker and Michael Walker.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the Celebrate Recovery programs at First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden: 125 North Lakeview Ave., Winter Garden, FL 34787, or children and youth ministry at Lynnville United Methodist Church: PO Box 127, Lynnville, TN 38472.
