Jason Peter Nabors of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 1, 2023 at the age of 56.
Jason was born in Columbus Mississippi on December 20, 1966 and is survived by his wife and beargirl of almost thirty four years, Kimberly Lang Nabors, his sisters Diana Nabors, Heidi Slagle, and Jessica Rubin, his brother Nathan Nabors, as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and June Nabors.
He lived in Central Florida for a few years in his childhood, moved back to Mississippi for a time, and then moved back down to Orlando where he met his wife and soulmate whom he married in 1990 and lived with happily for the rest of his life.
He worked in retail and at bicycle shops in his younger years and spent most of his career working for Colonial Photo and Hobby where he made lasting, lifelong friendships with his employers, co-workers and numerous customers who would come to him for hobby advice or to just talk.
Jason was an avid hobbyist, computer and security specialist, pet parent and theme park enthusiast. He was brilliant and could figure out, fix or explain anything. Family, friends and neighbors were always calling on him for his expertise and he loved it. He had a heart of gold and worked hard to keep his wife, and everyone he knew and cared about safe and happy and was always looking for ways to help others.
Services and reception will be held at Christ The King Episcopal Church located at 26 Willow Drive in Orlando on Saturday, November 04, 2023 at 1:00PM.
In the spirit of the safety that Jason always thoroughly believed in, it is politely requested that protective face coverings be worn during this indoor gathering for the benefit of everyone.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to Christ The King Episcopal Church for their generosity and support to his wife and her family or to your local ASPCA on his behalf if you care about animals as much as Jason did.
This was a wonderful man and will be missed so much by his wife and all who were lucky enough to know him.

Jason was a very good friend of mine. over 24 years I’ve known Jason and he was always such a happy fellow. I’m surely going to miss him because if there was anything I needed I could ask brother Jason. I called him j baby, cuz he was like my little brother. We did remote control units together, cars, planes. He taught me how to fly airplanes. I thought I knew how to do that until I saw him fly, he was fearless. So, to my little brother I will surely miss you, I will carry your love in my heart forever, love you.
j baby. Rest in peace my dear friend.

We are so saddened at the loss of our longtime friend. We’ve known Jason for about 25 years and have had too many fun times to count! Jason’s friendship will be greatly missed. He was always up on the latest gadgets and happy to share his knowledge. Many nights of movies, rock band, video games, dinners out, holiday gatherings, and funny times like picnics in the front yard will be cherished and remembered always. Sending condolences to Kimmiegurl and all who loved him.
