Jerome Delano Maynor, 87, of a long time Apopka resident, passed away on November 02, 2021. Mr. Maynor was born on March 22, 1934 in Pemberton, West Virginia. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patsy Virginia Maynor as well as daughter Beverly Chamberlain. Mr. Maynor is survived by his children Rhonda Maynor and Melissa Tamm; brothers James Maynor and Douglas Maynor; 5 grandchildren Matthew (Launda) Chamberlain, Amanda (Ben) Douglas, Justin Chamberlain, Patricia (Justin) McConnell and Evan Reid as well as 1 great granddaughter on the way.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
