Jerome Keith Orr, 84, known better as “Jerry”, left his temporary earthly home of Winter Garden, Florida on September 25, 2024 and has taken up permanent residence in his Heavenly home with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Jerry was born on June 23, 1940 to the late Ralph and Ruby Orr of Bertha, Minnesota. Jerry led a life of service. Wherever he went he was willing to lend a helping hand in any way that was needed, with a joyful heart and a can-do attitude. He was always ready with a joke, a song, or a story to entertain and amuse those around him. He was the kind of person you just loved to be around. Genuine through and through. He lived life to the fullest and loved to travel with the love of his life, Bonita. His daughters and their families enjoyed the many years they stayed with them for several months at a time during which Jerry finished many projects working joyfully, side by side with his daughters. He was a loving faithful husband, a tender compassionate father, an adoring grandfather, a fun-loving sibling, a dedicated hardworking employee and a true and lasting friend. Some of his final words on this earth are a true reflection of who he was and how he lived. “I love Jesus, and I know he loves me, I just want to help everyone while I’m here.” He will be remembered and missed by many. He is preceded in death by his sister Joann Heuer. He is survived by his wife Bonita Orr Brust, children Rhonette (Jim) Hukill Orr and Nicolette (Shaker) Samuel Orr, grandchildren Joel (Rachel) Samuel, Lauren (Justin) Unger, Hannah Samuel and Beasley Hukill (grand dog), great grandchildren Eden Samuel and Grace Samuel; siblings Don Orr and Pam (Alan) Rodgers.
Dave and Vicki Ardrey says
So very sorry for the loss of Jerry – the times spent around and with him was a privilege … Jesus welcomed him with loving arms and you can take comfort in that. Dave and I both offer our condolences for the family …
