On Friday, August 26, John J Mihok, Jr, a beloved husband and son, passed away. He was sixty one.
John loved his work in interior design and has been in the blind and shutter business for over 35 years. He made friends wherever he went; frequenting local restaurants, golfing, or picking up lottery tickets at the corner store! He was lucky with his lottery tickets and in love. He and Renee were married nearly 28 years and were partners in all things. They could often be found watching a Yankees or Packers game depending on the season. He was an avid music lover. You could often find him listening and dancing to Todd Rundgren , Genesis, Tom Petty, Brooks & Dunn, Garth Brooks, and even Dua LIPA. He enjoyed all kinds of music over his lifetime.
He was a wonderful family man. Pappa taught his grandchildren how to make the perfect pizza. It was one of the favorite weekend activities. As the kids got older he took them on jobs with him. Introducing them to his friends and customers and teaching them about the business. They learned how to use a drill, a tape measure, and how to install a perfect shutter.
John is survived by his loving wife, Renee, his sons, Keith (Angela) and Robert (Christine), five grandchildren (Hannah, Jonathan, Paul, Olivia, Jamison), his mother, Joyce, and sisters, Patty & Susan (Warren). He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
