John “Cowboy Johnny” William Inman 3rd, known by most as John, passed away on April 16, 2023. Born on January 23, 1937, John was a beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle to a large and loving family. He is survived by his wife, Joselyn (Joy) Hernandez Inman; daughter, Sunshine “Wanda Kaye” Ciolkosz, son, Charles Marvin Inman; grandchildren, John Coleman, Xena Star Inman, and Sabin Heart Inman; siblings Carol Kober, Sharon Burks, Lawernce Inman, Virgil Inman, Wesley Inman, Naomi Parker, Juleen Kessler, and their respective spouses; and many nieces and nephews who cherished his presence in their lives.
John was a dedicated member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he found solace and meaning in his faith. His love for music, particularly anything by Hank Snow, often led him to play guitar at music rounds and share his passion with others. John enjoyed fishing, enjoyed watching rodeos on TV, and appreciated the beauty of nature through the art of Bob Ross.
Known for his kindness, compassion, and humor, John was a light in the lives of those who knew him. His love of life was evident through his enjoyment of simple pleasures, such as coffee and coffee ice cream, sweet potatoes, donuts, and cinnamon rolls. He believed that his Father in Heaven was his best friend and encouraged others to lean on their faith in times of need.
My father was very private, personable, extremely KIND, Sweet, Fun Loving, Humourous, Down right funny at times. Had a Heart of Love, Compassion, Caring! Thoughtful! Hard Worker! A bit of a Happy Jokester! Positive! Encouraging! Strong! Prayerful. He loved to share cute jokes with me in text message.
And my father and I were BEST friends, best buddies, and close prayer warriors…
Daddy was one of the best bakers in the world, one of the best fathers in the world, and had a personal relationship with his Heavenly Father in heaven through Christ, God’s only begotten Son, Whom “TO KNOW” is Life Eternal according to God’s Word!
Daddy taught me that my Father in heaven is my BEST friend. That I could pray to Him about whatever was on my heart! Like, what made me happy, sad, angry, mad, my problems, troubles, hurts, dreams, concerns, whatever! I could tell God, my best friend!
What legacy has my father?… My father has the legacy of kindness and caring. Of love and sympathy! Of mercy and grace! The legacy of a tender hearted compassion in his thoughts & feelings of others! That legacy he obtained from his Father God in heaven.
John’s legacy is that of love, sympathy, mercy, and grace. He was a man who cared deeply about spiritual causes and taught his loved ones the importance of having a personal relationship with their Heavenly Father. His heart of compassion and thoughtfulness touched those around him, leaving behind cherished memories for friends and family to hold dear.
My father loved to play guitar, go to guitar rounds, loved butterflies, birds, flowers, nature, animals, nature shows, Hank Snow is his favorite musician & singer! He liked fishing, camping, traveling, trains, rodeos, car races, monster truck shows, airplane shows AND model airplane shows, watching Bob Ross (the artist) Shows, and he loved cooking shows.
As we remember John, we celebrate his love for life and his dedication to sharing joy with those around him. May his memory continue to inspire us to live with love, compassion, and gratitude. Rest in peace, John “Cowboy Johnny” Inman 3rd.

My deepest condolences. I met Mr. Inman about eight years ago when he brought Ms. Inman to enroll in health insurance. I looked forward to seeing him each year because he had a special way of letting me know how much he appreciated my assistance. Over the years I learned more about Mr.Inman and would tell other people about the kind “Cowboy “. I will miss him! My prayers are with Joy and the rest of the family! DD Barber
