Mr. Joshua Boehm
Joshua David Boehm, 22, of Apopka, Florida passed away on March 13, 2017. Josh was born on August 31st, 1994 at 10:06 am in Loveland, Colorado the son of Brandy and David Boehm. He was the youngest of 3 children. He had the love of Animals, Motocross, Firearms, and anything military.
Josh was a true momma's boy from the start. Anytime his mom went to work he would cry and fuse but the second she got home and held him, he was happy and content. He had his mom wrapped around his little pinky and he knew that. All three siblings knew this to be true and on many occasions if they all wanted something Josh would be the one to ask, working his magic. At a young age Josh took an interest in motocross, following in the footsteps of his dad, Uncle Jon, and Cousin Andre. Josh’s adventerous and daredevil tendencies were apparent even at a young age. While riding with his mom on a dirt bike down a road, at his grandma's, he kept jerking the wheel toward a rock in the road, preventing them from maneuvering around it. This sent both of them flipping over the handle bars. They were not seriously injured and he seemed to enjoy motocross even more after that incident.
In his later years this stuck around, from riding bikes to playing football. He loved being outdoors and exploring, whether it be the next neighborhood or traveling half way across his home town with his sisters and cousin.
Josh took after his father in many ways. He spent many hours in the day researching and watching videos on anything that sparked his interest. In particular, his interest in foreign affairs, politics and weapons grew and his knowledge along with it. With his father working on military contracts, he was probably the only other one who could be on the same level in a conversation in that aspect.
Josh and his oldest sister, Jennifer, were the same in many ways, which also led to them clashing, but they were an equal match for each other. Josh loved to push her buttons, knowing eventually what to do. As they both grew older they settled their typical sibling battles and stayed close even after the move to Florida. Spending hours talking on the phone as Josh took his nightly walks.
Josh and his second older sister, Kayla, grew closer in the last few years. Spending more time together in-between their work schedules. They would spend hours talking or watching movies. Josh made it a point to spend time together. His first words to let you know were always, "Human, I'm bored."
Josh was very caring though he was good at hiding it. He masked his affection with pranks and pestering his loved ones. Whether it be, jumping on them or causing a battle of wits, knowing very well he would win. Some of Josh's favorite things included, coffee (especially Starbucks), YouTube, Tom Clancy novels, his cats, and being a smart-alec. Some of his least favorite things would be bone-in chicken, sappy moments, and the ultimate irritation for him was customers/stupid people. Whether, it is a customer at work who lacked common sense or someone who commented on a YouTube video that didn’t have a clue. Josh's intelligence rained supreme in many ways, even in a situation where many would panic such as the time someone robbed his store for the 3rd time. Josh's quick wit kicked in, leaping over the counter and getting his co-worker out of the store. He then locked the robber in the store, physically holding the doors shut. Though the robber escaped the store, Josh's efforts’ didn't go to waste, as this caused the guy to panic, which lead to mistakes and eventually got his lead to his arrest. His store was not robbed again.
Josh the world needed a person like you; you could have created world peace. All because of your knowledge about foreign affairs, war, and weaponry; it made you dislike uneducated people. You also disliked anyone who treated Kayla, Jennifer, or any loved one wrong. Your memory will live on, Josh, whether it is at a motocross event or the little actions Jennifer’s children do, you will be remembered for a lifetime. Josh left us too soon, but he left a mark on this planet that could not go unnoticed! He will forever be missed and remain in the hearts of those who loved and knew him! Watch over all of us; check in time-to-time to let us know you are there. You were the most awesome brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and son that anyone could ask for. Your special phrases will live on, some we cannot say in this write up, but those of us that love you will keep them alive to remember you by.
