Kenneth (Kenny Lee) Barker left this earth on the morning of September 19, 2021 with his loving and devoted wife, Anne D. Barker, by his side.
Ken was preceded in death by his eldest daughter Dawn. His memory will live on in the hearts of his 4 other children, Sherrie, Melanie, Betsy and Lynne. Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren,his sister Kathrine and his wife Anne D. Barker.
Ken began his life in Savannah, GA. He lived most of his life in Central Florida. He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and served his country in the Korean War. He was a CPA and Investment Broker by trade, But writing was his true passion. He won awards for his short stories and in 2003, became a published author with his book “Where Egrets Flew”.
Services will be held at the VFW-Post 4305 in Winter Garden, on October 16, 2021 at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the VFW.
