Lloyd Anthony Nairne was born on April 2, 1937 in Spanish Town, Jamaica. He was the son of the late David Hamilton Nairne and Burbette Wheatle. Lloyd migrated to Brooklyn, New York in 1967. While living in Brooklyn, he worked as a restaurant and catering chef, and then as a school custodian. He retired to Apopka, Florida in 1999. Lloyd dedicated his life to Jehovah God in 1979. He served as a congregation overseer for 18 years and as a zealous full-time servant for 10 years. Often referring to himself as “Lloyd of London”, he was well known for his hospitality, signature dishes, regularly assisting others, and his love for the children. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, of 34 years; his four children Gregory Nairne, Colleen Labady and her husband Phenton, Marlon Nairne, and Maxine Lascelles and her husband Christopher; six grandchildren and a host of other relatives and numerous friends who loved him dearly.
