Martin Andrew Eggett, 76, of Altamonte Springs, Florida passed away on March 3, 2022. He was born May 3, 1945 to the late Andrew and Sophia Eggett in Cleveland Ohio. His family moved to Orlando Florida in 1958. Martin attended St. Charles Catholic School, Robert E. Lee Junior High and Edgewater High School where he graduated from in 1964. Martin enlisted in the United States Air Force following his graduation and served for eight years. He continued his Military service by joining the United States Air Force Reserves. Martin was very proud of his Military service and to be able to serve the United States of America. Martin worked for Albertson’s Grocery and Advanced Auto Parts. His passion was music and cars.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Carol and I are deeply saddened to learn of Marty’s passing. I remember many crazy and fun times with Marty over the years. He always made a get together more fun. I can only imagine the fun that he and Jack must have had building their last race car. I always admired the inseparable bond between Marty and Jack. Marty will be missed by all those that knew him. Love and condolences to the entire Eggett family.
