Mr. Michael L. Hidle

d. April 7, 2019

Michael Lee Hidle, 51, of Apopka, Florida went to be with our Lord on Sunday, April 07, 2019, within the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born on November 01, 1967 in Winter Garden, Florida and resided in Apopka, Florida.  Michael was a member of McCormick Road Baptist Church.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Elaine; their children, Jeff (Erica) Ellis, Anna (Adrian) Rodgers, Josh Hidle and Tiffanie (Manny) Hidle; grandchildren Julian, Jayden, Adrianna and Tristan; mother Esther Hidle of Apopka; father Tommy (Teri) Hidle of Pennsylvania; brother Shane (Amy) Hidle; sisters Deann (Ronnie) Thornton and Jennie (Steve) Wilson.

Michael was a devoted baseball coach for his son, nephew grandkids and many others for over 30 years, proving his love of the game at Longwood Babe Ruth and West Seminole Pony.  “Coach Mike” always made sure that everyone on his team had a chance to play and treated each child as though they were his own, something I am sure everyone would agree.

Mike was highly skilled in many trades.  He worked many years for Orange County School Maintenance, co-owned, and worked The Apopka Glass Shop with his wife, and for the last 10 years was one of the Best in Bass Pro Maintenance Team.  One of his greatest joys was working behind the scenes to help create the magic of Santa’s Wonderland for thousands of children at Bass Pro.

Michael loved spending time with his grandchildren and family above all else.  Michael also enjoyed boating, fishing and going to the beach with his family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 4PM at the Lockhart Baptist Church.  Flowers may be sent; or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Michaels second home, at Longwood Babe Ruth, to their scholarships program to help those children play ball, even if their parents fall on hard times.  Thank you all, and may god bless you and yours.

Sincerely,

The Hidle Family
