Michael Shawn Hyland, 43, of Eustis, passed away Monday, September 02, 2013. He was born March 11, 1970 in Staten Island, New York. He was a Plumber. Mr. Hyland is survived by his mother, Diane (Julian) Gaspar; grandmother, Beatrice Peloquin; siblings, James Hyland, Jodie Buck, Tricia Rizzo, Breanna Hyland and Matthew Hyland.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Michael was not only my brother, he was my friend. He used to take me on jobs with him. On one job, he took me all through the house he was working on, showing me what he was doing. He let me help him a little bit. Then he sat down and taught me how to read the blueprints for the house. His face was so full of pride and lit up, whenever he showed me and talked about his work. I loved going on and helping him with jobs. I'll never forget it.
