Mike was always one of my favorite Assistant Principal’s that I worked for before and after Greenwood Lakes. Mike was always kind to the teachers. I liked his sense of humor, how he always teased me about something that he always found amusing. I was very fortunate to work for Mike and have him as my AP.
Sincerely,
Michael Pentz

However, I have fond memories of your dad as a fun loving man. Our Chiefs family are always friends no matter the intervening years. I pray for peace for your family. Mike will be missed.

AP Mike Ginisen was at GLMS when I first came as a reading teacher in 2006. He was highly regarded by all staff, teachers, administrators and students. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was supportive and fair in all he did to support GLMS. As the years chugged along I became a Dean at GLMS and Mike nicknamed me a DIT Dean in Training. He supported and helped me grow in this position. He left us in retirement and time and agin came in to substitute teach. We all enjoyed his continued presence at GLMS. RIP and blessing to Mike’s family. He was an amazing man! God Bless

Mike was a great friend and fellow administrator at GLMS. I admired his professionalism and enjoyed his sense of humor. Dedicated to FSU and Bobby Bowden, he became a Boise State fan as well and we celebrated the memorable 2007 Fiesta Bowl Win over Oklahoma together ( with the three trick plays). Mike had a heart for people and was a lot of fun! My sincere condolences and know that Mike made a positive impact on my life and that of so many others.

I met Mike as an incoming freshman clarinet player with the FSU Marching Chiefs. He was a junior but was so kind and helpful as a member of my row. I’ve only seen Mike a handful of times since he graduated but have so many fond memories of his kindness and sense of humor. May the family take comfort in knowing that he has left a lasting legacy with those of us that have been blessed with having shared a portion of our life with Mike. With heartfelt prayers. Linda

I remember Mr Ginisen when he was a apart of summer band at Winter Park High School. I was a clarinet player also and it was nice to have someone who could help us be a better musician. I was very fortunate to have great teachers such as Mr Ginisen, Jack Williams, Ken Williams and Joseph Wise. You could not help but learn more life than music from each of them. Mr. Ginisen will be missed by so many lives he touched.

The first one did not work out Mike. So… we have a lifetime of crazy trips to FSU, breaking down a multiple amount of times and sometimes not even getting there. Many years working with each other’s bands to get them performance ready. Too many fun times to forget. You’re gone too soon Mike. You are missed; but we WILL meet again.
