Morgan “Bill” Campbell, age 93, passed away on July 26, 2022 in Apopka, FL. He was born in Covington County, Alabama. He moved to Panama City, Florida where he married Dorothy Dean on July 14, 1953. They later moved to Apopka, Florida were he worked as a foreman at Plymouth Citrus, were he was retired from.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Dean Campbell, his parents, Dempsey and Bertha Campbell, his brothers, Edsel Campbell and Kent Campbell and his son-in-law, Clifton Lister.
He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Lister (Apopka), his son Mike (Cyndy) Campbell (Apopka), his brother, Carey (Rosie) Campbell (Orlando), his sister, Jennette (Don) Wheeler (Eustis), 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Services will be at Loomis Funeral Home in Apopka, FL. Family visitation will be on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. Friends and Family visitation will be on Sunday, July 31, 2022 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:00am, with graveside service following at Highland Memory Gardens.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
