Neftali Aponte, 76, of Apopka, Florida passed away on March 29, 2022. Mr. Aponte was born on March 11, 1946 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He is survived by his loving wife Irene Aponte; children Irene (Glenn) Philips, Deborah (Kevin Brooks) Aponte, Neftali (Leyla) Aponte Jr. and Sarah (Manny) Noemi Agosto; siblings Anita and Ruben; grandchildren Matthew, Isaac, Paris, Petra, Alexander, Zuriel, Anastasia, Nikolai, Malakai and Kanai; as well as close friends Doris and Michael. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

I never thought I would be so proud of the strength and resilience Neftali demonstrated during his last chapter. I believe he did it all for his (our) beloved Irene, who he sustained and cared for to the best of his humanly abilities. I will always be so grateful for his support. He lived and went on his terms, with the needed respect towards us all, and the love of our sweet Jesus. He will never be forgotten. Que viva Talí para siempre en nuestros corazones !!!
