Rafael Torres was born and raised in Ponce, PR. He later moved to Elizabeth, NJ where he met and married Antonia Bernard on November 16, 1956. In 1977 he and the family moved to Apopka, FL where he was employed by the Orange County Highway Maintenance Department until his retirement in 1994. He baptized and became an active member of the SDA Church in the early 1960’s. He enjoyed serving the Lord in the capacity of Church Treasurer and Deacon. He also visited shut ins and people in the Hospital. He was also generous in giving to others what he had. He’s hobbies included fishing, collecting coins and thrift shopping. Rafael is survived by his wife, Antonia Torres, children Evelyn Altobelli, Rafael Torres Jr and Alex Torres; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
