Rene C. Gosselin, Jr., 71, of Apopka, passed away Wednesday, December 03, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. After completing a tour in the Navy, Rene returned to RI to work at the Providence GE plant, while also earning his degree from Roger Williams College. He and a friend later developed a thriving business, Ocean State Thermotics, producers of heating elements. Fortunate to retire early, Rene settled in Apopka, where he found great joy in the people and surroundings of the Errol Estate community. He was especially proud of the beautification projects that were completed during the several terms he served as the President of the EEPOA. Rene is survived by his wife, Roberta Gosselin; children, Laurene Kirk, Tina Gosselin; stepchildren, Jason Gronlund, Kirsten Gronlund, brothers, Paul Gosselin, Chris Gosselin and David Gosselin; sisters, Mary Brown and Janet Peltier; grandchildren Nathan Kirk and Brandon Kirk. Rene was preceded in death by his stepson, Bjorn Gronlund; brothers, Robert Gosselin and Peter Gosselin.
