Richard L. Rider, 89, of Mt. Dora, passed away Monday, September 20, 2014. He was born October 17, 1924 in Flint, Michigan and moved to Central Florida 29 years ago. He was a Foreman for General Motors and a veteran of the US Army and a former POW. Mr. Rider was preceded in death by his son, Rodney Rider. Mr. Rider is survived by his loving wife, Katheryn Rider; sons, Randall and Richard Rider; daughter, Gail Helmondollar; brother, Robert Rider; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
