To Brenda, your children, and grandchildren:Bobby was a very special friend and classmate. When I moved to the Boonshill area and attended my first day of school in the 8th grade, I knew no one and was alone and very nervous. I sat alone in study hall while all the kids in their respective grades congregated together and shared their summer activities and adventures. I felt someone's arm wrap around my shoulder from behind me. "Hey, my name is Bobby Hill." "Why don't you come over with the rest of us and I'll help you get to know everybody." I looked over my shoulder to see a boy with blonde hair and sporting a flat top hair cut. He was wearing a gleaming white tee shirt and smiling at me like I was his best friend. For the next few weeks he made sure I was included in on everything that all the other guys were doing. Eventually I became part of the class and Bobby and I became pals. Our small graduating class of 1964 were all friends and to some degree, like brothers and sisters. We all went our separate ways, as most classmates do, but my classmates always remained in my heart and mind as special friends. One classmate in particular held a very special bond with me because of his great heart and willingness reach out to a lonely, scared kid. Bobby, I didn't know how to say it then, but I will now, I love you, man. I know you can hear me because with your great heart and and your loving spirit, you are sitting with Jesus right now. Brenda, please be comforted in the fact that he is waiting on you, in a better place.Love to you and your children,Jack Gentry

Had so many good times with your family. I can just see Bobby and Dudley on the farm in Lincoln County, TN. It is so hard to believe that they both are gone but their memories will live on as long as we are alive. Love you Brenda.Take care of yourself. Love 'Netta
