Mr. Robert “Foxy” L. Campbell

d. November 15, 2018

Robert “Foxy” L. Campbell our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 15, 2018. Born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, August 02, 1938, he was 80. He Grew up in Charlestown, and moved to Orlando, Florida with his siblings and parents in 1959. He worked for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies throughout his career, retiring in 1999. Throughout his children’s lives he was very supportive of programs and sports they participated in. When Seminole County lost their SYSA Membership Bob and 7 other fathers applied to organize “All American Football” program for children of Seminole County. He loved sports especially his Duke Blue Devils Basketball Team. He also loved to fish and work in his yard. The most important things to him were spending time with his family and friends. Bob’s friends and family will always remember his jokes and willingness to help others. After he retired he was proud to become a member of Bahia Shriner Center where he held various positions within their official family and drove patients to and from the Tampa Shriner’s Hospital for their treatments. He will be missed by everyone. Robert was preceded in death by his father Cress Campbell, mother Bertha Collins, brother Jack Campbell and his twin sister Maudella Allan. Mr. Campbell is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; daughter Michelle (Tracey); son Jack (Meg); 4 grandchildren Carolyn, Georgia, Reid and Beau. Bob was always full of love, joy and happiness. He brightened any room he entered. He touched so many lives with his everyday jokes and kindness. He dedicated his “retired” life to service, driving sick children to the hospital, delivering toys from the toy drive, parading in his paddy wagon and his continuous service to the Shriners. He had so much pride and love for his wife, children and grandchildren, he made every occasion special. He will be missed not only by his friends and family who loved him, but by everyone he came in contact with, he was that special. We loved him beyond words and are so fortunate he was a part of our lives! He will be missed by all and never forgotten. Till we meet in Heaven, with all our love.
