Robert Miller Hall, age 83, entered his heavenly home on Sunday, April 12, 2020. He was born in Wise County, Virginia, and currently lived in Mt. Plymouth.
He is survived by his wife Mary Carol, his children Linda, Chris, Sunny, Matthew and their spouses, 8 grandchildren and siblings Shirley, Steve, George and Jean. He is preceded in death by his wife Priscilla, mother of Linda and Chris, and his parents Richard Thornton Hall, Nancy Ellen Beverly, and Earl Stallard Sr.
After graduating from Pennington High School in Pennington Gap, Virginia where he played trumpet and lettered in football, Bob moved to Detroit, Michigan to work for Western Electric Telephone Co. In 1958 he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served for 2 years of active duty and 4 years in the Army Reserves. He retired after 33 years with Western Electric/ Lucent Technologies as a Quality Controller and went on to work for TransGlobal Communications for ten years before he retired in 1999.
Bob was an avid fisherman, enjoyed watching college football, loved the mountains, vacationing and puttering around in his workshop. He served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka, Florida.
Bob loved his family, his church and was a loyal friend, especially if you liked to fish. He is dearly missed by all who loved him.
