Stathi was born in Vironia Greece, a village in Serres, north of Thessaloniki. He later served Greece by enlisting in the army. Stathi immigrated to the United States in 1976, moving to Orlando, Florida, where he held jobs in the hospitality industry, and worked in his cousin Paul’s shoe shop. Stathi was a generous individual, he was always sharing the little things he had with others, he never showed up empty handed, always giving, and never asking. Stathi was honest and never complained or had anything negative to say. In his own way he was a model Christian, doing the right thing came effortlessly to him, as he was always focused on helping others first. May his memory be eternal.
