William Joseph Rhome III, 58, of Apopka, Florida passed away on July 30, 2022. Mr. Rhome III was born on August 29, 1963 in Stamford, Connecticut. He is survived by his children Amber (Stephen) Hunter, Maria A. Rhome and William (Alicia) Rhome IV; grandchildren Avery L. Hunter, Sylar B. Hunter, Taryn K. Hunter, Dorian K. Hunter, Aryonna M. Cervera, Donovan J. Cervera, Eva A. Cervera, William J. Rhome V, Cody J. Rhome, Skyla F. Rhome and Noah J. Rhome; sister Donna R. Knapp; as well as nephews William Knapp Jr, Dylan Rhome and Scott V. Downing. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
