Anna “Ann” K. Hewlett passes away peacefully at home on April 30th surrounded by family and the wonderful caregivers of Hospice.
Ann was born October 16, 1933 in Canton, NY. She was the daughter of Hugh and Viola Kelly of Russell, NY.
Ann graduated from Knox Memorial High School and subsequnetly Canton ATI in 1953.
Her greatest joy was her loved for her husband, George Hewlett, who preceded her in death on March 16, 2014. As well as her pre-deceased daughter Kelly who passed on October 13, 1975. She is survived by her son’s Richard (Michele), Charles (Gina) and daughter Carla (John Leinhan) and several grandchildren.
Her life was a living example of her Catholic teachings. She was generous donor to many organizations such as St. Jude, Franciscan Friars, Wounded Warriors, and several other Catholic charities.
Ann and George were avid travelers. Even after his death she traveled frequently visiting her kids. SHe had several hobbies in particular; lover of nature, book reading and creating her tropical backyard garden.
A mass of Christian Burial and interment will be scheduled at a later date at St. Mary’s Church and cemetery in Potsdam, New York.
