Carole Kathleen Groninger, 91, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on September 14, 2024. Mrs. Groninger was born on November 09, 1932 in Akron, Indiana to the late Warden and Esther Perry. She is survived by her children Keith Groninger (65) of Winter Park, Florida and Ann Holt (64) of Winter Park, Florida; grandchildren Kate Groninger Snure (33) of Maitland, Florida and Erik Groninger (31) of St. Petersburg, Florida; great granddaughter Hannah Snure (6) of Maitland, Florida; as well as her sister Joyce Herendeen (95) of Lafayette, Indiana. She will be dearly missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
