Carolyn Driggers Farmer, born December 23, 1931, was called to her heavenly home on November 10, 2024. From the moment you met Carolyn, it was clear to anyone that she had two great loves: her deep, unwavering faith in the Lord and her immense pride in her family. She had a way of making everyone feel loved and valued, and her warmth and kindness drew people to her. Carolyn was a gifted cook, and until recent years, she could always be counted on to prepare a meal for someone in need or simply to brighten someone’s day.
Her friendships were a treasure to her, and she was surrounded by many dear friends who loved her as much as she loved them. Above all, her children were her greatest joy. She poured her heart into raising her six children, and in doing so, many others came to know the love of a second mother. Her home was a place where not only her own children found support and care, but where countless others were welcomed and embraced as part of her family.
It is hard to fully express the impact Carolyn had on the world, but to all who knew her, she was truly a gift. Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband John Farmer, parents, Green and Dora Strawn, her sister Gloria Strawn, her son Darrell Driggers and her grandson Brian Driggers. She is survived by her children Andrew “David” Driggers (Gloria), Danny Driggers (Kathy), Lucinda Walker (Ernest), Lorrell Bush (Gary), Durwood “Woody” Driggers (Tina), Charlotte Federline, her sisters Frances Durham and Theresa Smith, 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Carolyns life will be held on November 30, 2024, 11:00 AM at RealLife Christian Church 31205 Round Lake Rd, Mt Dora, FL

Gloria Driggers says
Carolyn was my mother in law for 56 years and was the best mother in law ever. She made me feel like a daughter and I will miss her very much.
Jeannie Dreggors says
Gloria never met anyone she didn’t love. She was always kind and thoughtful. Danny was my favorite. We used to pretend we were part of his family because our last names were so much alike, Driggers and Dreggors. God rest her soul.
