Mrs. Diana Lynn Schorejs

d. April 15, 2019

Diana Binette entered this world on March 20. 1958.  Her parents, Reginald and Imogene Binette lived in Weymouth, Mass.  Her dad was a U.S. Marine stationed at the Naval base.  They would travel often.

Diana was the middle child of five.  He older sister Bernette was ten years to the day older.  She had three brothers. Reggie (one year older), Billy a year younger and Teddy 2 years younger.  The family would eventually settle in Beaufort, SC when her dad was stationed at Parris Island.  Diana was preceded in death by her Dad, mom, sister Bernette and brother Reggie.  Diana joined them on the other side of death on April 15, 2019.

Diana graduated from Beaufort HS in 1976.  She was employed by Pizza Hut as a waitress.  Her whole life changed on a night she and a friend went to the movies.  They left a seat open in between them.  A handsome Marine decided they must have left that seat open for him and sat down and asked to share their popcorn.  Little did Diana and that Marine know it was the start of a relationship that would last until her passing.

She married that Marine “David Schorejs” in February 1978 and they were blessed to bring Nicole Marie into this world not too long after.  This family of three would travel from SC to MN, back to SC to Washington DC, to AZ, to FL back to SC and then David retired from the Marines in 1999. At almost every stop along the way Diana worked in Pizza Hut Management.  She loved the challenge of operating a store.  Every Store team became her temporary family.

After David’s retirement (Feb 1999), they settled in FL where they have lived with the exception of three years 2004-2007 in AZ.  David and Diana adopted Lauren and Megan in 2002 and have been blessed to have children around even until today.  They celebrated Megan’s 19th Birthday the day of Diana’s passing.

Diana loved life.  She did not pretend for anybody.  You got the real her no matter what.  She gave herself away to her family, her work team and her Lord.  She would do anything for anyone if it had a potential of positive outcome.  She loved to travel.  She was the best of wives, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grand.  She was a loyal employee, strict but fair bass and truest of friends.  She served that Lord as a Deacon’s wife, children’s teacher, hospitality coordinator, and Pastor’s Partner.  She will be missed beyond imagination.

Diana is survived by David, daughter Nicole, Grands; Lauren, Megan, Alex and Bella, great grand: Karter.  Two brothers: Billy and Teddy and numerous nieces and nephews!
