Diane Gates of Apopka, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. She was 72 years old.
Diane Gates was born in Elba, Alabama on April 14, 1952.
She is survived by one daughter Lora (Kieth) Wilson of Loretto, TN; son Andy (Mary) Peak of Apopka, FL; six grandchildren Brandon Newman, Brianne Young, Hailey Young, Destiny Peak, Hunter Peak and Austin Peak; 4 great grandchildren Forrest Newman, Lincoln Newman, Mary Peak and Jabril Haroon. Several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Advent Hospice in patient unit care in Altamonte Springs for their kind and loving care.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

So many memories of you Cuz of when we were growing up. Visits to South Florida hanging out in the orange grove, or when y’all would come up to Alabama and spend the summer with us.
