Elizabeth “Betsy” Tamm, age 74, of Apopka, passed away on Thursday, March 06, 2014. Born on August 09, 1939 in Atlanta, GA, she moved to the Central Florida area 50 years ago from Miami. Mrs. Tamm was a Protestant and worked for the State of Florida.
Mrs. Tamm is survived by her loving sons, Brian Tamm and Brad (Trisha) Tamm; sister, Anne Elias; and grandchildren, Jayne Tamm and Grant Tamm.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
