Gertrud Aloisia Schlinsog, 94, of Apopka, Florida passed away on September 30, 2023. Mrs. Schlinsog was born on October 07, 1928 in Tepl, Czechoslovakia. Mrs. Schlinsog is preceded in death by her loving husband George Schlinsog. She is survived by her children Ingrid Behner, Anthony Schlinsog and Karl Schlinsog; as well as her grandchildren Kira, Elizabeth, August and Megan. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
