Gertrude Emeline Burbank, 103, of Deland, Florida passed away on December 29, 2022. Mrs. Burbank was born on January 14, 1919 in Eustis, Maine. Mrs. Burbank is preceded in death by her grandson Timmothy Burbank. She is survived by her son Fred Burbank; grandson Jeffrey Burbank; as well as her great grandchildren Jordan Burbank, Jacob Burbank, Jenson Burbank, Hunter Burbank, Landen Burbank and Kensi Burbank. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
