Icelda E. Robinson, age 94, of Apopka, passed away on Tuesday, August 06, 2013. Born on June 01, 1919 in St. Mary, Jamaica, she moved to the Central Florida area 24 years ago from New York.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her loving daughter, Lenora Tracey; siblings, Leslie Grant, Imogene Allison, and Eucena Mitchell; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
